Service Providers


A Service Provider is a company or body that provides a service to your establishment, such as carpenters, builders, stationery suppliers, PAT testing engineers etc. These service providers can then be chosen when creating and managing Works Orders. For example. you have hired a carpenter from ABC Carpentry and need to send a Works Order, by setting ABC Carpentry up as a service provider, you can assign them as the company on the works order.





Service Provider Type 


A group of common Service Providers, such as electricians, plumbers, stationery suppliers etc. To add a Service Provider Type, click the ‘Add’ button and type the name and a unique two-letter code into the dialog that appears.


Service Provider Name

Click on the Service Provider Type to display all the Service Providers. (See Figure 2.15).

 

Double-click on a Service Provider name to view its details


Most fields are self explanatory. A list of contacts is shown – see the section Service Provider Contacts below for more information.

 

Approved Contractor 

Tick this option if the contractor is on an approved list.  Some contracts may require only approved contractors to be used.

Approval Review Date

Enter the date the contractors’ approved status should be reviewed.

Approvals

These fixed approval categories can be activated and set a review date for this service provider.

Annual Spend Limit

Enter the maximum value of contracts this contractor can undertake in the current financial year.
