Storing Plans for Use on the Web Portal.

General: Within Quadpro, building floor plans are stored in two places:
Firstly the Quadpro Data folder where they can be accessed by all Quadpro Users of the programme.
These files are all linked to the Buildings listed in the system.
Secondly the plans that can be viewed by job requestors when they use the web portal to place a job request.
These are stored in the Quadpro Structure folder and this help section related to loading and editing these.

1.1 – The plans can be of a number of types so firstly you will need to ensure that the file type settings are correct.
Go to Admin > Preferences and then choose the Web Server Prefs button
In the first field, enter the file type format that you will be using.
The plans in the client system can be different to those in the web portal. If however the Web Building Plans Extension field is empty, we recommend you use the same format as Client Plan File Type. (See below image) If both fields are blank, the recommended format is PNG. In the example below the client files are .BMP and the web portal files are .JPG.
The “Building Plans Extension” relates to the plans that will be displayed on the web portal and needs to match the file type for the Plans you are storing in the folder for the web portal.
Simply type .gif .jpg or .png in the field to match your building plans type.
If the types setting is different to the actual plans type then the plans will not appear in the web portal.

1.2 - To store plans correctly so they can appear on the Job Request Portal, please follow the steps below.
1 Open the building plans folder by clicking on the “Building Plans” button on the home screen.
2 If the plans are of the same type as those on the web preference setting eg: both .png or .jpg Please copy all the files from this folder to the following folder on your server
Quadpro\Structure\html\Building_Plans
You may need to enlist the assistance of your IT department to access the server folder or obtain their approval.
3 If the plans in the building plans folder are .bmp format then they will need to be converted to the required .png or .jpg or .gif format before uploading to the web portal folder on the server
Files not appearing in the Web Portal
If your building plans are not appearing in the Web Portal, we would advise checking the information listed in 1.1.
