Sometimes a works order is issued and then later it is noticed that it needs to be reallocated to a different budget. Normally this is not permitted in the system. We have now added a feature which will allow Administrators to carry out a change of budget for works orders.
You will need to have Administrator sign in rights to carry out this function. Go to the Admin menu, choose Preferences and then select the Works Order tab. (See below) You will see there is a checkbox called "Allow budgets to be changed on issued works orders" If you check this box and save then you will now be able to change budgets on issued works orders. The budgets will recalculate in line with your choices but the change is not auditable. For instance somebody could have approved a large spend against a budget which has now been changed in the system.
We suggest you check the box make the approved budget change and then go back and uncheck the box. Then only staff with the administrator password will be able to carry out the budget change by undertaking the above procedure each time.
